As some people who are regulars of the MMRPG Chat may know, I'm in the process of making the first chapter of an RP*G* for the roleplay section. The running name for it is "Mega Man: Prototype Armageddon". It's basically an AU [alternate universe] story separate from Adrian's Prototype. Different storyline, different enemies, different friends, different moves, different battle formula, different surprises, and more.
I, for one, am sick of the excessive godmodding that goes on in the RP section, and I wanna post something there that will fix that; specifically, an RPG with clearly defined rules and boundaries, making it easier to spot trollers and godmodders, and therefore easier for staffers to put a halt to it. Hence, Armageddon.
I'm planning on having the first chapter done by the end of September at the very latest, and then, I'll test it with a few pre-chosen members to see if it works, and if it does, I'll publicize it for the RPG section to play.
As far ahead as I tried to plan for this, I didn't plan for the need of a spriter, due to the fact that this RPG will have characters of my own creation.
So, basically, I'm posting this 'help wanted' thread because I'm in need of someone [or someones] that can make high-quality single sprites [Not spriteSHEETS, single sprites]. By 'high-quality', I mean either custom-made from the ground up, or--at the very least--frankenedits that don't look like obvious frankenedits at a glance.
I'd REALLY like to avoid employing the help of anyone that either IS working with Adrian and Boss on the REAL Prototype or is PLANNING to work with Adrian and Boss on the REAL Prototype, since it would be EXTREMELY unfair to both them and to Prototype fans to take any resources away from it, though if I ever get Adrian's direct blessing for the person to sprite for Armageddon as well, all will be good.
I can also promise that sprites of the chosen spriter's creation will make it into Armageddon as optional bosses. I'll also promise that the chosen spriter will be one of the lucky few to test Chapters 0 and 1 of Armageddon before I make it public.
If you'd like to apply to be the spriter for Armageddon, please post some of your better works in this thread so that I may take a look.
There's no deadline, but, most likely, the sooner you post, the better your chances of being accepted.
Thanks in advance, Mike.

@MusicalKitty : He looks really cool with the 2 shades of gray on parallel sides, and the cape is neat. As one minor suggestion, wouldn't it be cool if half of his face was frowning and the other smiling, rather than both sides smiling? His face already seems to be based on the iconic happy and sad masks, so just food for thought.

@MusicalKitty : ...not entirely sure that's in MM-classic style; his heads looking right at the 4th wall. :P Try a smaller more, MM-Classic-based creation.
@Brimstone : "If we're all supposed to be using an 8-bit style here, then I'm pretty sure I may or may not have just went slightly out of it."
That. *points up* 8-bit MM-style is preferred, since Armageddon's visuals will be in said style, and I can more accurately judge the qualities of sprites that way.

well heres the gadget man but hes really more of a recolor so far but im planning to take off his lightbulb and replace it with something or even... well im not sure yet but here he is
again dont judge him just yet! hes not done dont judge the unfinished product for a full one!
@Tobyjoey : Were it not for directly facing the 4th wall, I'd say that this is as good as Swamp. One more? Please?
@DaCrashBomber : You made all 3 of those? They look pretty darn good, if I'm totally honest. Do you have any more?
@matthewftw123 : The whole point of the thread is for you to showcase your best works, Matthew, so, try to refrain from posting things you haven't finished, yet, pleaseandthankyou.
@Brimstone : Halberd is pretty impressive, actually. Not shabby at all. Post more if you have any.
Also--and I just edited this part into the opening post--I can't accept you if you wish to work alongside Adrian and Boss in the REAL Prototype, unless and until I have Adrian's DIRECT blessing for you to work with me on Armageddon. As I've stated in the opening post, it would be unfair to Adrian, Boss, and all of Prototype's fans for me to take valuable resources away from it for any reason.
Nothing personal, but, I can't do that to Adrian; he has a hard enough time with Prototype as it is without me taking things from it.

I would make a pun about striking out, but I think the actual Strike Man would have me sent flying, so instead, here is a classic series robot master based off of the Net Navi BowlMan.exe, Bowling Man!

@matthewftw123 : Can't fault you for that. Thanks for trying, anyway, though.
@TheDoc : Ah, HERE it is. I was wondering where this went. Since there's no actual RPing done in this thread, I figured it'd be best left in the General section. :P It was a borderline thing, so I thought. Sorry. x)
@Tobyjoey : You know I'm gonna call it Bowl Man, right? xD I do wonder how he throws bowling balls, though... Actually, T.J., I'm calling it. If you'd be glad to sprite for me, I'd be glad to have to as a spriter. You're in. =)
===
JUST 'CAUSE T.J.'S IN, THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T NEED MORE. Just in case Life decides to treat an accepted spriter like crap, I know I'll need more than one spriter, so, please keep your samples coming if you're interested. There's still no deadline, but, still, the sooner, the better.
...also, bumpity, since this is in a new section, now.

I decided to make a Lark Man (and Theatre Man) Sprite based off a drawing I made a while ago, I tried to make them closest as I can to the MM Sprite style, Boss said they're more akin to Earthbound though, so I still have to work on it
Better get this out of the way before I accidentally lose the file,
I liked your idea of Blossom Woman's design being based of a Cherry Blossom, so I added "hair" that looks like a Cherry Blossom, and instead of vines spouting from her shoulders (like I first intended) I added Branches with Blossoms at the end, I got her not facing the 4th wall, so that's a start.
